They can teach us...obedience, selflessness, genuine excitement, pure happiness, simplicity, unconditional love, and so much more.
As people, we put classifications and judgments on people at the first opportunity.
We over think virtually every situation and almost never do we love unconditionally.
Everything has conditions for humans. If you do this...I will do this...that is how humans go through life.
We question any and all rules and procedures accepting almost nothing at face value anymore.
Dogs?
They absolutely love when you come home. This is demonstrated every single day by their pure excitement as you walk through the door. As humans, we love to feel desired. Our dogs give us this each day and ask for nothing in return.
They have simplicity of thought.
I'm hungry...ok, I'll eat.
I'm Sleepy...ok, I'll sleep.
I have to go potty...ok, I'll go potty.
They are trainable when given clear directions. They don't question all the rules we place on them...
Don't jump
Don't go potty in the house
Don't bark
Nope. With time, they will become compliant to virtually anything we teach them and they will rarely give you any lip about it.
If only us humans would take more time to practice what we preach to our beloved pets...life could be a little bit less complicated.
