Cures For Your Barking Dog

Does your dog bark all the time?

Do they bark when you are not home?

The issue with a dog that barks too much is that it is not only an issue for you, but it can become an issue for your neighbors as well.

If you notice that your dog is barking excessively or if your neighbors seem to be getting annoyed with your dog, it is time to take action.

Common causes for barking are:

• The dog is left alone for long periods of time with no interaction.
• He doesn't have much to play with. He does not have enough fun toys to keep him occupied.
• Younger dogs have lots of energy. He may need an outlet to release the energy.
• Certain dog breeds have a "herding" mentality. They need a job to keep busy.

So what are some cures for these issues:

• Take your dog for a walk each day. This helps improve your bond with your dog and releases excess energy.
• Give your dog some interesting toys to play with. Perhaps a toy that is a bit of a challenge. The kind of toys that have a treat in them can keep your dog busy for extended periods of time.
• If you are absent for extended periods of time, have someone come by each day and play with them and walk them. Hiring a Pet Sitter is a great way to improve the daily health quality for your dog.

The key to a Happy Pet.....

EXERCISE!!

According to the ASPCA, Healthy adult dogs NEED at least 30 minutes of aerobic activity twice per day.

How can this be accomplished?

Dog Parks, Walking, Running, Swimming, Fetch...there are tons and tons of ways to get aerobic activity.

Animals are not all that dissimilar to humans as far as basic needs.

We both need food, water, love and exercise to live full enriched happy and healthy lives.

Cats are the same way. They need exercise as well. Throw the ball to them, watch some birds together.

The key is to get involved.

Exercise is also the key component in training your animals. It burns off energy allowing their mind and bodies to focus on what you are teaching.

It's Safety First with Home Doggz Pet Sitters

You can't be too careful these days...especially when it comes to placing your loved ones in the care of someone you don't know.

You read their website and testimonials, but still aren't quite sure.

At Home Doggz, we understand this natural angst that all parents of kids or pets have.

I am the father of 3 young children and also have pets. When I am not with my kids or if I have to leave my pets in the care of another person, I have often felt emotional uneasiness.

That feeling is called love. When you love something like we love our kids and animals, emotional angst is normal.

The key is finding the person or person's that know how to calm this emotional angst.

I would have a difficult time leaving my kids or pets with someone that didn't have any of their own.

How would they understand how to help them?

How would they know how uneasy I feel when I leave?

Home Doggz Pet Sitters has a complete understanding of how you feel, but more importantly, we know how to set you at ease.

I have been involved in Real Estate for 8 years helping families across the Metroplex. To be involved in Real Estate, you must be licensed, background tested and finger printed.

The State of Texas trusts me to enter the homes of people across the state. As a precaution, I am also bonded and insured.

Accidents do happen, as a parent I know it is better to be prepared in advance. I don't leave the safety of my children or my pets to chance...and you shouldn't either.

You want a Pet Sitter that will take care of your pets in the best possible manner and a Pet Sitter that will help you feel emotionally strong while you are away.

Home Doggz is in a unique position to do both.

We will make you feel safe, because we are safe.

We will make you feel secure, because we are security approved.

Home Doggz can do all the intangibles and still provide you with the highest quality customer service in the market.

Let Home Doggz help you!

Pet Sitters and Weather in North Texas

This time of year the weather in North Texas can get a little dicey.

Things can change from sunny to thunderstorms in no time.

When you leave your pets and go out of town, it is important to make sure they are left in good hands.

At Home Doggz, we understand the value of your pets. We still drive to your home in the rain, wind and thunder.

When you make the commitment to place Home Doggz in the care of your loving little animals, we take that responsibility seriously.

We make our living by being dependable, trustworthy, caring, and understanding.

Often times serious weather can have a large effect on the demeanor and temperament of your pets.

When you hire us, we are there to comfort them and keep them calm. They don't have to get scared by barking dogs in the confines of a small kennel, and you won't have to stress about the reliability of a neighborhood teenager to still come to the house.

When you hire Home Doggz, your worries are over.

Let us help you feel at peace while you are away.

What Pet Owners Should Know About Pet Sitters

Pet Sitting is still a fairly new profession.

For years and years, pet owners had to rely on putting their beloved animals in a small cage for days or weeks at a time.

The only real alternative to a cage was burdening family and friends with the care of your animals while you went away.

Hiring a Professional Pet Sitter is now very mainstream and is quickly becoming the favorite choice for pet owners that desire the best care for their animals.

A Professional Pet Sitter is someone that has a job dedicated around the proper care of your animals. It is a person that knows what to do in an emergency. It is a person that has insurance in case of accidents. It is a person that has the sole focus of taking care of your pets.

According to the 2011-2012 National Pet Owners Survey, 62% of U.S. households own a pet. This equates to 72.9 million homes.

This survey also discovered that $50.84 Billion was spent on pets in 2011, $3.65 Billion of which went specifically for pet services.

The numbers continue to grow and grow each year.

As with most things, as time goes on enhancements and better practices are learned and developed. Pet care is not any different.

Hiring a Professional Pet Service is by far the best available way to provide top quality care for your pets.

Home Doggz Pet Sitters will come to you. We care for your pets in the environment in which they already thrive. We give them love while you are away and we provide you with all the details of our daily activities.

Allow Home Doggz to help you keep your pets happy and comfortable while you are away.

Dog Walking and Training

One of the most important yet commonly overlooked aspects of dog training is as simple as a dog walk.

For maximum training benefits, it is important that your dog does not have a high abundance of extra energy.

Think of it as ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) in kids.

The more energy they have, the less they can focus on the task at hand.

Dogs often get bored if they have too much energy. This boredom can lead to being mischievous or wreaking havoc inside your house.

A tired dog, one that is routinely walked, has far less energy to be destructive. Routine walks will help your dog release both mental and physical energy.

Most people think only about the physical aspects of a dog walk, but the mental release is just as valuable. Without a proper mental release, dogs can become mentally unstable leading to anxiety, hyper activity, and neurotic or obsessive habits.

This is not a good scenario.

It means they will become less likely to have the capacity to grasp the lessons you are trying to teach them which can lead to an increase of bad behaviors.

Start taking your dog on routine dog walks and you will see an improved opportunity to train them.

If only we thought like dogs...

Humans can learn SOOO much from dogs.

They can teach us...obedience, selflessness, genuine excitement, pure happiness, simplicity, unconditional love, and so much more.

As people, we put classifications and judgments on people at the first opportunity.

We over think virtually every situation and almost never do we love unconditionally.

Everything has conditions for humans. If you do this...I will do this...that is how humans go through life.

We question any and all rules and procedures accepting almost nothing at face value anymore.

Dogs?

They absolutely love when you come home. This is demonstrated every single day by their pure excitement as you walk through the door. As humans, we love to feel desired. Our dogs give us this each day and ask for nothing in return.

They have simplicity of thought.

I'm hungry...ok, I'll eat.

I'm Sleepy...ok, I'll sleep.

I have to go potty...ok, I'll go potty.

They are trainable when given clear directions. They don't question all the rules we place on them...

Don't jump

Don't go potty in the house

Don't bark

Nope. With time, they will become compliant to virtually anything we teach them and they will rarely give you any lip about it.

If only us humans would take more time to practice what we preach to our beloved pets...life could be a little bit less complicated.

The Role of the Pet Sitter

At Home Doggz, we feel the pet sitter role is quite comprehensive.

Our goal is not simply to feed your pets, give them fresh water with each visit, clean out the kitty litter, collect mail and newspapers, and the other myriad of other items we do.

Our real task is providing your animals with affection and care.

The Home Doggz way is to provide your pets with a transfer of positive and loving energy.

In general, while you are away, your pets will feel sad and even a little mopy. At Home Doggz, we understand this. So we make it our mission to show up at each visit with smiles, hugs and energy.

We transfer our good vibes and desires to your pets through happiness and huggz.

Let us help you out by making your pets feel right at home while you are away.
